Friedrich Stählin – Das hellenische Thessalien

When I joined the Makrakomi Archaeological Landscapes Project as a student participant last year, I read as much as I could get my hands on concerning ancient Thessaly. The first major work on this interesting region is Das hellenische Thessalien — Landeskundliche und geschichtliche Beschreibung Thessaliens in der hellenischen und römischen Zeit (1924) by dr. Friedrich Stählin of Stuttgart.

The copy in the local library was very used indeed, so I scanned it for future use. It seems however that its copyright has expired in Sweden (Stählin died in 1936), and Google has yet not scanned it, so I will post it here, free to download.

Unfortunately, the map was too big to scan, I will try some other time when I have a scanner that is able to scan 1x1m.
